GuardDog™ Specifications
Enclosures:
The GuardDog and Pump & Valve Controller unit are offered in
standard NEMA 4X enclosures or optional Weatherproof NEMA 7 enclosures
for Class 1, Division 1 locations. NEMA 7 enclosures are provided
with two standard 1" NPT bottom entrance taps.
Communications: The
GuardDog unit communicates with the Pump & Valve Controller
unit to provide a fully integrated solution. While The GuardDog
is placed at the Load Rack, the Pump & Valve Controller unit
is typically placed at the Motor Control Center and interlocked
with each Pump Motor Starter.
Hardwired MODBUS 485 and Ethernet communications are standard. An
optional 902-928 MHz Spread Spectrum wireless copycat discrete interface
is available with a 1 mile range, thus eliminating the need for
conduit and wire.
Power Requirements:
The GuardDog and Pump & Valve Controller units require a regulated
120 VAC, 3 AMP protected power supply.
Temperature Rating:
-40°F to 158°F
Meter Pulse Signals:
The GuardDog unit requires a minimum of 1 pulse per gallon (1:1)
Dry Contact or Open Collector input from each monitored meter and
associated valve.
Scully Signals: The GuardDog
unit requires one 120 VAC input from each Scully Signal Overfill
ST-35 and Static Ground ST-47 unit. Each Watchdog unit monitors
up to two Scully sets or Truck & Trailer configuration per Load
Rack lane.
Pump Command Signals:
The GuardDog unit requires one 120 VAC input from each preset unit.
Each Watchdog unit monitors up to 8 Pump Command signals per Load
Rack lane.
