Peter A. Mantas  -  President & C.E.O.
Peter brings SpillGuard Technologies, Inc. over 20 years of domestic and international business development, sales, marketing, direct marketing, alliance strategy and general management successes.  He brings significant startup experience including Techniquip Corporation and CNC Service Center.  His most successful venture was building the Industrial Automation Business Unit for Newark Electronics, a $750 million electronic component and communications equipment distributor and direct marketer.  This SBU generated 52% compounded annual growth, the highest growth rate in the company and grew to over $50 million by year five.  He will concentrate on developing the vision and next steps in business strategy, business development, channels and alliances. 

Peter brings over 20 years of industrial automation and process control expertise.  He has plotted his career through system integration, electrical and electronic distribution and manufacturer.  He also brings strong knowledge of brand development and total cross platform marketing strategy, product management, asset management, sales and business development.  Peter has served as executive manager and on the board of Archnet, Inc. and numerous non-profit organizations.

Peter graduated with an M.B.A. from Lewis University of Romeoville, Illinois with emphasis in marketing and business strategy.  He also attained a B.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology from DeVry University of Chicago, Illinois.
 
Lee Sherwood  -  Executive Vice President & C.T.O.  
Mr. Sherwood is the founder of SpillGuard Technologies, Inc. and possesses thirty-three years of design, engineering, construction and manufacturing experience.  Mr. Sherwood’s responsibilities include those of corporate officer, but also involve the day-to-day research and development and operations.
 
Mr. Sherwood’s technical training and education is specialized in automation & control systems technologies and those related to manufacturing and industrial processes.  His diverse career spans working directly for major oil companies, pipeline transportation operations and manufacturing companies.  Additionally, he has served many years with engineering and construction companies, managing installation and equipment integration using control systems technologies related to manufacturing and treatment processes. 

His background ranges from aviation fueling systems, marine petroleum transportation, general manufacturing (robotics), material handling, facilities management, gas & power utilities, power generation, water & waste water systems, oil and gas production operations, pulp & paper, and transmission pipelines to and from refining and chemical plants.
 
He is an active member of the Board of Directors of the National Petroleum Management Association and a long-standing member of the Independent Liquids Terminal Association.

Thomas J. Adams - C.F.O.

Thomas J. Adams has over 35 years of financial experience as a consultant and Chief Financial Officer in the high-tech industry. Executive Vice President, CFO and co-founder of Ramtek Corporation, a $50 million publicly held company manufacturing computer graphics display systems, Adams supervised four public offerings, and negotiated the sale of a subsidiary, Digital Productions, which was an early pioneer in creating computer-generated 3-D images for the advertising and film industry.

Adams participated in the purchase and sale of several companies in his capacity as Vice President of an investment banking firm specializing in divestitures and leveraged buyouts. He has been an independent financial consultant for the past 12 years working with startups and emerging high tech companies.

Adams holds a BS in Accounting from Tri-State University in Indiana and has interned with Haskins & Sells in Detroit.
