GuardDog Completes One Year Tour of Duty At Valero

Concord, Calif. - June 24, 2004 - SpillGuard Technologies, Inc.  (SGT, Inc.) (http://www.sgtinc.com), the leading provider of innovative end-to-end spill prevention solutions for the fuels movement and petrochemical industry, announced today that its GuardDogT independent secondary shutoff control system has successfully completed the one year tour of duty mark at Valero Energy Corporation's Benicia facility. For over twelve months the GuardDog units in this terminal have been on the lookout for human error and mechanical failure that can cause inadvertent spills. During this period the three units have prevented any spills from occurring. A true validation of the technology, Valero has been using the GuardDog platform in this terminal for over one year and can claim a "verifiable zero spills" performance during the loading operations.

Every tanker truck compartment loaded brings with it an opportunity for human error and or mechanical failure. During the past year the GuardDog units have safeguarded the terminal through over 200,000 compartment loads. The units' predictive intelligence identified and countered numerous human errors and mechanical failures, delivering the zero spill performance.

Impressively flexible, the GuardDog is easily integrated into the Terminal Management System at tank truck, rail car, commercial and military aviation refueling and marine ship and barge loading operation facilities. A Typical configuration requires only one "GuardDog" unit per load lane.
